Creepshow Productions was established in 2006 as an event and promotions entity within the NZ dark-end scene. Based in Wellington NZ, Creepshow has always maintained a quality over quantity ethos.

2006 provided an opportunity to relaunch the missing Darkness Gathering and rebranded it as Darkness. A two night event (with an afternoon matinee) with International acts Ikon (Melbourne) and Angelspit (Sydney) as well as NZ dark-end stalwarts The Mercy Cage, zer0, Horror Story, Dekline, Serenna and Halva Eve and more.

Only a handful of events have been run since then. An all-ages gig with Angelspit (Sydney), Angel Theory (Melbourne) in September 2007, Chris Matthews & Robot Monkey Orchestra along with debut performances from Creepshows own This Theory of Static and Nullity.

Throughout this time, Creepshow has continued to support other scene related events through either promotion, sponsorship or general scene support.

2008 saw Creepshow relaunch itself as an independant alternative label. It's nice to have a label with lots of bands on the roster but unless you have a product your label is effectively useless. So in saying that, Creepshow produced Something Wicked This Way Comes. A compilation of 16 tracks from the top New Zealand dark-end artists. Once again, with an emphasis on quality over quantity, this was a 6 month process. Professionally mastered and manufactured as a 6 panel digipak with the wonderful artwork of Creepshow's own Ben Nightingale, a compilation was released which has commonly been referred to as the best compilation to come out of the NZ darkend scene...ever.

Late 2008 see's Creepshow sign The Mercy Cage, This Theory of Static & Nullity. With no further plans to sign any further bands for the next few years, a dedication to the current Creepshow roster is the main focus with full album releases coming up in 2009 as well as the 2nd volume of Something Wicked This Way Comes.
