| The Shudder Club are an Auckland based industrial band. Formed in 2004, their early sound was reminiscent of Cold-Wave and Electro-Punk bands of the early nineties. Over the four years since it's conception The Shudder Club's sound has evolved to encompass many different influences and aspects of Industrial music. | Melody Fallen is an etheric folk/dirge-pop side project of The Mercy Cage, focusing predominantly on female vocalist Catherne AK’s voice & placing more emphasis on acoustic instrumentation. With influences ranging from Leonard Cohen to the Headless Chickens, The Melody Fallen sound emcompasses everything from folk, dance, ethereal pop & haunting ambience. After a several year hiatus, Melody Fallen returned in 2007 with a contribution to the independent New Zealand music tribute compilation "She's Lost". | This Theory of Static was formed in 1998 as "breathingunderwater" in Auckland New Zealand by guitarist/singer Dean Young and set about creating the project’s first EP "Aquatic Ceremony" released on MP3.com the following year. In 2000, “Horizonchrist” breathingunderwater's critically acclaimed debut album was released online. The album would go on to scoop two awards at the 2001 Bay of Plenty Music Awards. In 2006, after a name clash with an American band, breathingunderwater became This Theory of Static. The band’s much delayed 3^rd album, “R[evolve]” was released under the new name and showcased a much harsher sound than previous efforts. In mid 2007, plans were put in place to finally bring the band to the stage. | Ethereal guitar driven Dream Pop, Radia is the studio project of Ross and Alison Harris. Since late 1999, the duo have written and recorded various tracks together in-between their other music commitments.The band has gone through various different incarnations over the years, finally settling on the two piece that is the writing force behind Radia's music. Their style ranges from lush ambient rock, through to a wash of guitar driven electronica, with recent tracks focusing more toward the latter. | N.U.T.E. was formed in Wellington in 1999 by Drew Lyon and Boost Ventury. The band was originally a side project of the experimental breakcore group Creassault , but quickly became a full time project. In 2000 N.U.T.E. headlined the inaugural installment of the Darkness Gathering, an annual dark-end music festival; and went on to perform at the next three years of the festival. With the 2001 release of their E.P Another Lost One, and the Drill 3" single and Drone Function EP in 2003, N.U.T.E.'s music received acclaim throughout New Zealand 's gothic and industrial scenes. On the back of heavy DJ rotation, they cemented their mass appeal with extensive live appearances throughout 2003 . In 2004 the band relocated to Auckland and in 2005 the band released their full-length album CyborgResistance and featured on a numbebr of compilation CD's. 2006 brought with it the first international N.U.T.E. shows, including the Limelight in UK . Formed in early 1999, numb/benign records released The Mercy Cage debut album Wire in January 2000. the bands 2nd album release, Rust: A Fiction - Stories From The Black Room was released on new zealands leading dark-end label Mediatrix in late 2001. A concept album melding a number of musical styles into a cohesive package. A series of successful festival gigs promoting the album throughout New Zealand followed in 2002-2003. Album number 3, the groups first north american domestic release on The DSBP label entitled "Scree: Transmissions" was released in May 2005. once again a conceptual affair on "communication, the media, sex, death & the politics of identity". "The Jewellery Thief is an element of the "vegas" cycle from the next album. It's something of a morality play. | Haluciagea has grown out of several years of songwriting collaborations between Liam & TL, and others. Once a full rock band, now an electronic trio; Craig Black (Faker, Collapse) joined Haluciagea in 2007, adding live dubbed fx & expansive delays to Haluciagea's live show. Live performances often feature video accompaniment - visual tracks created by several talented film-makers to complement the music. Haluciagea incorporates traditional song structures and strong vocal melodies with "conventional" electronic genres, with a heavy dose of rock thrown in. Haluciagean tracks have featured on several compilations - Relaxo Records 2004 featured "Ill-fated" and Dodgy Records Comp, "Sounds from the Swamp" 2005 featured "Mellow". "Darkside" also featured on the Bass compilation Mental Illness 3 in 2006 and was nominated for a Bnet award in 2007. Haluciagea released its first EP in 2006 - produced and recorded by Liam with the exception of vox, recorded by Craig Black at The Stomach. DJ Romantech from Auckland's Bass collective remixed "Falling" - featured on the Short Circuit myspace page. 2007 has seen Haluciagea perform with The Black Seeds, Hollie Smith, Nanotek, Double Negative, Minuit, The Upbeats, Short Circuit Tour, Odessa and Philter_. | Keller Kinder is a four-piece gothtronica band based in Wellington, New Zealand. Formed in 2006 by Kommander Kind and Kaptain Keller, the band originally started out with an electronic doom-metal sound, although their music has grown faster, dancier and harder over the last two years. First performing in June 2006 they solidified themselves as a promising and enjoyable new Goth/Industrial act. After only a handful of select performances and having recruited Kaiser Killin and Kolonel Kain, August 2007 saw Keller Kinder play support for Psyche in Auckland to good reception. johnnychrome is a collective electronic music project based in Wellington, New Zealand. The driving force behind the project is Glenn Robert Bellham, a Wellingtonian who has been recording and producing industrial/electronic music since the early nineties. Following the demise of Wellington band 3 Plastik Men (3pm), Glenn Bellham and Paul Szymkowiak formed FEARvLOATHINCand in 1997 released the compilation "Bombay Girl". | The Tenth Stage, formed in January 2006, is a band that formed from a common interest in the darker side of the mainstream culture & music. Members are Roberto Messaglia (vocalist and lyricist for Melbourne industrial dance band Tankt) and John Von Ahlen (owner of Subterrane Studio). Roberto writes lyrics and is the main vocalist while John plays bass guitar and piano and is the band's engineer, producer and all-round studio wiz. The Tenths Stage's music can be defined as dark, theatrical pop with an enigmatic blend of synthetic and acoustic instruments.
